A Schoolgirl Donates One Million to build a
SMART CLASS
A 16-year-old schoolgirl from California, USA has come forward to set up a SMART Classroom for Duwa Junior School, Negombo.
Kylie De Croos, a schoolgirl of Sri Lankan origin, has donated One Million Sri Lankan Rupees to build a SMART Classroom.

The student has raised the money by collecting Plastic items from nearby houses in her spare time and selling them to recycling centers.

Mr. Ruchitha Kurera, who coordinated the project, officially handed over the Money to the Principal, Mrs. PS Harischandra on the 10th of August 2021.

With 240 students and 16 teaching staff, the school has very limited facilities and offers classes for students from the First Year to the Ordinary Level.
